UPC/EAN/ISBN

The UPC/EAN/ISBN is a unique number or code that is used to identify a commercial product worldwide. Each product has an unique code according to its value and variation. It serves as a international standardization element and it is proportioned by different Companies that are dedicated to this function. The UPC field is mandatory and is set in your product offer.

  • UPC (Universal Product Code): 12 digits. Principally used in Northern Americas.
  • EAN (European Article Number): 13 digits. Principally used outside of North Americas.
  • GTIN (Global Trade Item Number): 14 digits. Principally used to identify Product on different packaging settings.
  • ISBN (International Standard Book Number): Unified with the EAN in 13 digits. Internationally used to identify books.

The correct UPC/EAN/ISBM on your products is priority, since it is how we identify that we already have two or more identical products in our Store. If you enter an incorrect UPC, the product might be sold with incorrect information (image, description, specifications) which will lead to a return.

The UPC is a fundamental item on the Master Product. For more information on the Mater Product, click here.
